Birthday Rainbow

Birthday Rainbow

I was firstly challenged to make this card by the challenge issued by Hero Arts as part of their Stay Craft With Hero Challenges. This is #8, Small Joys, and one is supposed to use the smaller stamps and dies from our craft supplies. I used the smaller stamps from my Sweet ‘n Sassy Scribbled Flowers Stamp that I love. I also decided to challenge myself to use as many scraps as I could to make this card. When I started pulling them out of the box I keep them in, I noticed I had all the colors in the rainbow, so I decided to use those small scraps to make a rainbow background for this card. I colored the small flowers with Faber Castell pencils. I used the Sizzix Happy Birthday die, (cut twice from white cardstock and once with charcoal gray for a shadow), I and added a few clear rhinestones that I colored with Copics in rainbow colors. I added Ranger’s Glossy Accents to the Happy Birthday die cut. That little bee from Scribbled Flowers also allows me to enter the Monday Card Making Challenge at Simon Says Stamp blog: We’re All A-buzz. Who wouldn’t feel all a-buzz about beautiful flowers and a big rainbow? I hope this card makes the person who gets it as happy as it did me as I made it!
